Cosmology has made me cry before: [[j.twenty seven zeroes made me cry]].

Twenty seven puny zeroes, and I cried… That's pocket change! What a wuss I was!

Then I learned that there could be [[five to the power of 500 possible universes]][^1].

This is five hundred zeroes, Ladies and Gentlemen. That's so many zeroes I don't think my internet subscription will allow me to upload all of them.

When I heard this I had to laugh out loud. Then I paused the video, stared into infinity and cackled insanely for a good quarter of an hour.

Luckily I had my one year old son nearby to play with and ground me. That was the plan… err, straw I grabbed as I sincerely worried about my future mental health. The absurd contrast just made me laugh-cry louder.

Then the video went on to explain that the reason for that ungodly number of possible universes is due to the laws of physics being determined by how 6 extra dimensions are knottet up together in a compact bagel.

That just made me angry.

Oh, did I mention that 10^500 is the theoretical phycists' low estimate?

Here's the five hundred zeroes: 500000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
